Whickham School & Specialist Sports College are to be the first Gateshead Secondary School to initiate an 'Active Lunchtimes' Programme. The scheme (which is being overseen by PE Technician, Robbie Pringle) will involve approx. 60 of Whickham's older students acting as 'Activity Leaders', running various lunchtime activities for the younger pupils within the school.

A training day has recently taken place for all pupils that signed up to be activity leaders, teaching them various skills and looking at specific roles and responsibilities. Please click the 'continue reading' link for further information and pictures of the training that took place.

HANDOUTS WERE PRODUCED WHICH DETAILED THE RULES OF THE VARIOUS ACTIVITIES

PUPILS WERE SHOWN THE CORRECT WAY TO PUT OUT ANY REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

AND OF COURSE......ACTUALLY PLAYING THE GAME!!
