Some of our Y5 children took part in th eNewcastle Falcons tag-rugby festival held at Kingston Park. Although we did not win, we all tried hard and had a very enjoyable day!

Kibblesworth Primary school - visited Gibside for their residential weekend. The cost for the stable block was around £300 for 30 children (only £10per child). The Lord Lawson mini-bus transported the children which enabled them to keep costs down. Fantastic opportunity!!!

Newcastle Eagles came into the school to deliver workshops to Year 6 about health and sport. As a result we were invited to attend a basketball tournament at the Northumbrian Centre. There was such interest that our whole Year 6 (74 children)went. One of our teams won the competition and went onto represent Gateshead at the Hoops for Health tournament at Newcastle Arena. The children played at the half time of the Eagles game and won the tournament! We also took over 100 parent supporters to watch them.
