TOP Link 7-a-side

The Top Link girls 7-a-side tournament took place on the St. Edmund Campion School field on 15th June on a pleasant afternoon.
The whole event was organised by 4 pupils from year 10 who went on the TOP Link training day at Teeside University. They then co-opted others from their year group to help in various roles to make a successful tournament.

3 schools entered this tournament bringing a total of 21 girls.

The TOP Link team went through a warm up with them before dividing them into 3 teams. Each team consisted of pupils from all 3 schools in an attempt to create even teams.
The teams were given the country name of Argentina, England and Brazil.
Pupils organised the draw, refereed the matches, kept the score, took photographs, organised refreshments, announced the results, gave certificates and either gold, silver or bronze medals to all the competitorsThe result was a win for Brazil with England second and Argentina third.
A good day was had by all.
