Gateshead Schools TAG Rugby 2006
A total of 4 TAG Rugby Tournaments recently took place within Gateshead. Each tournament was hosted by one of our Community Rugby Clubs:
* 16/10/06 - Winlaton RFC
* 17/10/06 - Ryton RFC
* 18/10/06 - Gateshead RFC
* 19/10/06 - Blaydon RFC
All the tournaments were very successful and were played with great spirit. In summary:
* 27 Schools took part, entering 42 Teams.
* 504 Year 5/6 Boys & Girls were involved throughout.
* 11 Young Sports Leaders assisted with refereeing, scoring etc..

Many thanks to all the Rugby Clubs for hosting the tournaments and for their help and support. Also, good luck to all those Schools that were fortunate enough to qualify for the Gateshead School TAG Rugby Finals, being held on Sunday 17th December 2006 @ Kingston Park (Home of the Newcastle Falcons).
