Yr 5/6 Aquathlon Event
On Wednesday 23rd May 2007 the partnerships first ever Aquathon took place. The event was split across two venues, with the swim taking place at Gateshead Leisure Centre and with Saltwell Park providing the perfect venue for the run.
10 Schools took part in the event, entering a staggering 32 teams and 95 participants. All those who participated showed a great deal of effort and determination in what for most was a completely new experience.
Thanks to all who took part and to staff for their help on the day. A special thank you to the 11 Young Leaders who helped to run and marshal the event.
