This years boys tournament was host to 8 schools. From these schools, a total of 14 teams took part providing an overall figure of 140 participants. Games were played to an excellent standard, ensuring some close and tense matches. Few games were closer than the final however, where a determined Ryton side were narrowly beaten by St Thomas More.

The girls tournament saw 2 schools enter a team each and a total of 20 participants. Once again, standards were high and a nail-biting encounter developed. Despite a fight back from an initial 1st innings loss, Heworth Grange were eventually beaten by a spirited Kingsmeadow team
who were victorious in 2 of the 3 innings contested.

Thanks to Gateshead Fell Cricket Club for hosting this event and to Michael Armstrong (Community Sports Coach for Durham Cricket Board) for running the event on the day.
