The Gateshead Primary Schools Cross Country Event was held on Sat. November 10th at the bowl behind Gateshead International Stadium. The girls event was won by Birtley St. Joseph's Junior School.
Their 'A' team became champions and collected the £250 cheque with their two runners Rhyanna Douglas finishing 3rd and Sarah Corrigan 5th.
The 'B' team weren't far behind with Hanna McDougall coming in 8th and Kate Rafferty 9th. This enabled them to finish 3rd in the team event.

What a performance! Four in the first nine, out of over 80 runners!
