Tyne & Wear Netball Finals
The Tyne & Wear Schools Sports Partnership netball finals took place on Tuesday 1st April 2008 at Blues Flames, Benton. Each School Sport Partnership was represented by 2 teams (Gateshead, Sunderland, South Tyneside, North Tyneside and Newcastle). Gateshead was represented by the top 2 teams from the High 5 Netball tournaments; Whickham Front Street and St Mary’s RC Primary School.

Both schools acquitted themselves extremely well against very skilled and well organised opposition and just missed out on an all important top 4 spot and a place in the semi-finals.
The top 4 teams were placed as follows;
1'st Castletown - Sunderland
2'nd St Bartholemews - North Tyneside
3'rd Hadrian Park - North Tyneside
4'th Fullwell - Sunderland
