hot shots raise asmile and lots of money

Every child at Winlaton West lane had a chance to show off their skills at penalty shooting as well as raising money for the school. James from the “Speed Mark” organisation came into school with a huge inflatable goal which was able to measure the speed of each child’s shot .Everyone got 3 shots [including the teachers!] to see how fast they could shoot. The fastest girl and boy in each year group got a medal and a certificate, and everyone who participated also got a certificate.
This was a sponsored event to raise money for the school[half of all the money raised goes directly to the school],and as and incentive Speed Mark were offering footballs to anyone who raised over £15;00.To our delight the children have managed to raise nearly £2,000,with nearly 100 pupils being entitled to a free football. It was a great day everyone having a wonderful time
