In conjunction with Gateshead/Whickham School Sport Partnership and Gateshead Council's 'Streets to the Stadium' initiative, Northumbria University ran an activity day for 56 Gateshead Secondary School students. Each student took part in a range of activities including; Fencing, Football, Golf, Basketball, Netball, Rugby and Street/Break Dancing.

The day provided an excellent opportunity for pupils to participate in new sports and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

University Sport Recruitment Day - 12th May 06

In conjunction with Gateshead/Whickham School Sport Partnership and Gateshead Council's 'Streets to the Stadium' initiative, Northumbria University ran an activity day for students, excelling in Football, Basketball, Netball and Rugby Union.

25 Gateshead Secondary School pupils were given specialist coaching as well as receiving a talk on further education opportunities, sports science and SAQ training.
