Million Mile Challenge

KINGSMEADOW SCHOOL RUN (PART OF THE MILLION MILE CHALLENGE)
Everyday Sport Campaign 2005
Year 7 & 8 pupils at Kingsmeadow school will take part in the Kingsmeadow School Run (Part of the million mile challenge) on Friday 8th July.
The event will see approximately 340 pupils complete a 2 kilometer run contributing 680 miles towards Gatesheads target of one million.

Cricket Festival

Kingsmeadow students from year 10 (pictured) organised a year 5&6 Kwik Cricket festival held at Swalwell cricket club on Thursday 16th June. They acted as scorers, umpires and team managers and all contributed to a great day.

5 teams competed 2 from St Aidans, 2 from Tyne View and one from Windmill Hills. The competition was won by St Aidans “A� team and a great day for St Aidans was capped when their “B� team finished second.

Cricket Festival

The kingsmeadow yr 5/6 cluster cricket festival takes place on Thursday 16th June at Swalwell cricket club 10am - 3pm. Six teams have confirmed their entry. Six GCSE PE students have volunteered from Kingsmeadow school to organise the event.
